I am a Kuku Yalanji woman, born on Wurundjeri Country. Dragonfly is our Dreaming — always guiding, sometimes softly, sometimes boldly. For over two decades, I have led Djirra, an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation that walks alongside Aboriginal women, supporting our rights and preserving our self-determination.

As an Aboriginal woman, my professional and personal journeys are deeply intertwined. Creating art — whether on canvas, in wire, or with recycled materials — allows me to reflect, reconnect, and carry our stories across time: past, present, and future.

Through Dragonfly, I honour my identity, my culture, and the strength of Aboriginal women. Each piece I create holds story and spirit — a continuation of my journey and an invitation for connection.

My paintings and creations are guided by Dragonfly — our Dreaming. Stories emerge through colour and swirls, each one unfolding in its own way. Every piece holds time — the past, the present, and what is yet to come.

Painting and creating brings me strength and clarity. It’s how I listen, how I speak, and how I honour story. Dragonfly is always present — sometimes prominent, other times more subtle.
